What is Quad Remesher ?

Quad Remesher is an automatic quad remeshing (or auto retopology) technology.

At first, I had a simple text object:Then I pressed Alt+C and selected Mesh from Curve/Meta/Surf/Text in order to convert the text object into a mesh.Now I want to apply the Remesh modifier, ho.

The Boundary aligned remesh addon is handy to remesh text or other open meshes. Especially when we convert Text to Mesh, the topology generated is not that practical. This is where the add-on comes in handy. It creates quads or triangles evenly divided while leaving the edges sharp. How to use the Boundary aligned remesh addon? Collections of notes, ideas, and experiments created with Blender Open Source 3D. No 3D experience necessary! DynRemesh is a quad-based remesher for Blender. I believe it is really good for assisting in retopology for dyntopo sculpts & 3dscans containing too many triangles. The UI is simplified to make it clear and easy to perform the necessary steps for quad remeshing automatically.

NB:
The web site, the documentation, the tutorials are in « WIP » status. We still need to add more documentation and tutorial but there is enough material to use the plugin easily. That said, the plugin itself is stable ready to be used.
As many users requested the plugin to be available ASAP, we decided to release it right now and to finish the web, doc, tuto later….
